Results of the two days of Spring Splash 2010 competition held here at the TTC over Memorial Day weekend are now posted on the STRA website (PDF).
And in an STRA blog post by David Ige titled Spring Splash Results & Writeup, Drew Leviton has this write-up:
Saturday morning dawned ominously dark and cloudy with the foreboding of forecast rain. Were the riders in for a repeat of last year? Thankfully, no, and the weather improved slowly and steadily throughout the day as the temperature and competition heated up.
The sections were on a shortish loop with many new areas freshly cleared and set for the first time. The sections were reasonable enough on Saturday as evidenced by some very low scores, but on Sunday, there was payback, as the difficulty level was a quantum leap higher, and so were the scores… continued
Every year, the TTC is host to two events (4 days of competition) for the Southeastern Trials Riders Association (STRA) championship series.
We call the spring event the Spring Splash and the fall event The 58k.
For these events, spectators are welcome and admission is free. Helmets are required for anyone on a motorcycle. AMA and STRA membership is required to compete (membership applications are available on site). Riders are welcome to come early or stay after for practice or training classes on our 670 acres of mountain terrain. See our Directions page for how to get here, our Accommodations page on where to stay, and our Contact Us page if you need more info.
