At about the same time, Tom shifted his popular YouTube channel from “documenting the process of learning trials to now helping to share what I’ve learned to inspire others.”
He also launched his Trials Progression website“to teach real skill development by breaking down techniques into drills and fundamentals in a safe way to learn and keep riders motivated through milestones of achievement.”
Tom will be one of the instructors again at this year’s 2026 Trials Training Days.

And later this month he will one of six inductees to be honored at the 2025 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Oct. 23 in Pickerington, Ohio. See the bottom of the AMA’s Hall of Fame 2025 ceremony induction page for Ryan’s biography.
Intro paragraph:
With a record-breaking six consecutive AMA/NATC Championships from 1988 to 1993, Ryan Young left an indelible stamp on the trials world. Young won the top class for the first time at age 21, and his success earned him a spot on eight consecutive USA Trial des Nations teams. Beyond competition, Young impacted the sport through his company Ryan Young Products, and by utilizing his knowledge to educate those learning the sport.
Ryan says this about the two-day school:
I will be covering over 20 techniques that are highly well-broken down, methodically taught, instructed, and demonstrated. It is a step-by-step process, working your way from the basics to the most advanced techniques. I will watch you perform each technique taught and critique you so you get a better understanding of the technique and performance. My trials schools have produced many National Champions in different classes. I’m looking forward to teaching the next champion!
