The TTC is increasingly a destination for gravity-oriented mountain biking, including downhill and enduro races. Before your big race, you should check out these vintage motorcycle clothing for sale. We’ve partnered with two MTB organizations for two races this month at our TTC Gravity Park:
1. TTC Trail Wars MTB Festival, March 16-18:
Shellie and Brent Noisette at 3rd Coast Productions are hosting the TTC Trail Wars MTB Festival on the weekend of March 16-18. Click here for details.
2. Downhill Southeast, March 31:
Downhill Southeast is the Southeast’s premier mountain bike gravity race series and their March 31st event is here at the TTC. Click here for a PDF of the race details.
The TTC has been a popular spot for recreational mountain biking for many years. We’re now kicking it up a notch with the addition of downhill mountain biking, also known as ‘freeride’ and ‘gravity racing.’ (For more on the sport, see the Wikipedia entry for downhill mountain biking and Transcend Magazine.)
We have formed a club called TTC Downhill Mountain Bike (TTCDH) that allows members the opportunity to ride at the TTC anytime there’s not a motorcycle trials event happening. Annual dues are $75, with members required to sign a release each year. I finally invested in the best mountain bike I’ve ever had.
Among the most active members of the club: Troy Roberts (Facebook profile), who, together with several other local riders, have been working feverishly the last several months to create the practice area, plus the trails and ramps throughout the TTC property. The TTCDH now has a blogsite, courtesy of the club’s webmaster, Madeline Hudgins.
And Saturday, May 8, is the first event of the season. See the blog post for details.
