We had a fantastic time this weekend with great weather and lots of great riding. Around 100 riders attended along with about a dozen instructors including many of the top Pros. Chris Florin, Bruce LeRiche, Ryan Young, David Chavez, Travis Fox, and Louise Forsley were all here. Special thanks also to Brad Baumert (Sherco Pits), Dale Malasek (GasGas USA), Al Bechard, Charlie Roberts, Steve Glinski, Doug McIntosh, Mark Sturtevant, and a special thanks to Ian and Josh for working with the kids.
The BBQ was a big hit, as were the bike demos, the adventure rides and all the training sessions. If you missed it, plan on coming down in March 2006!
Check out the many photos I took of the fun time on the photo gallery.
Hope to see many more smiling faces in 4 weeks at the TTC/STRA Tennessee Nationals on April 16-17!
On Friday, Jan. 14 a crew from Trials Competition magazine and Speed Channel (Chet Burks Productions) were at TTC along with Martin Belair and Chris Florin from U.S. Montesa to do the first test of the new Montesa 4-stroke trials bike. Everyone was quite impressed with the handling and smooth power delivery of the bike and I’m sure it will be a hit. Shan Moore will have an article on the bike in Trials Competition of course, but also look for articles in Cycle News very soon. In 2 weeks time, importer Martin Belair will travel to Southern Calif. to visit with Jimmy Lewis for a bike test for Dirt Rider magazine. (Note, new editor Jimmy Lewis is a very trials-friendly guy at Dirt Rider, so write & tell him how much you enjoy the trials articles!). Watch for the Speed Channel feature to appear on Two-Wheel Tuesday with host Greg White in a few weeks, probably early to mid-February.
Weather has been great for riding here at TTC this Jan., come see us!
The Winter Trials Training session with Chris Florin is underway. Weather is fantastic and everyone seems to be having a great time so far. We’re also getting some nice photos and video clips for future how to ride articles for Trials Competition magazine.
If you couldn’t come and missed it, don’t despair! Bruce LeRiche will return from the holidays in South Africa in mid January. Bruce and Charlie Roberts will be available for riding classes for everyone from experts to beginners.
And here’s announcing another big event, 8-times National Champ Geoff Aaron, star of the Balancing Act videos, will be at TTC for an experienced rider training on Feb. 21/22. That’s a Monday/Tuesday on the President’s day holiday weekend. Cost is $250 for the class, lodging is available in the lodge or campground (cabins or RV sites) or off-site at nearby motels. This training will include both Geoff and Pro Bruce LeRiche. Space is limited so that everyone attending will get lots of individual attention. Don’t miss this opportunity with Geoff, as his busy schedule doesn’t permit many such classes especially east of the Mississippi! Find out more about Geoff’s shows and videos by visiting his website at www.ereonline.com.
