Every year, the TTC is host to two events (4 days of competition) for the Southeastern Trials Riders Association (STRA) championship series. We call the spring event the Spring Splash and the fall event The 58k. For these events, spectators are welcome and admission is free. Helmets are required for anyone on a motorcycle. AMA and STRA membership is required to compete (membership applications are available on site). Riders are welcome to come early or stay after for practice or training classes on our 670 acres of mountain terrain. SPRING SPLASH 2012

For 2012, the Spring Splash (STRA Rounds 3 and 4) will be held on May 26th and 27th, with an Anniversary Ride on Monday, May 28th (Memorial Day). The Anniversary Ride will be a dual sport bike ride this year, leaving from the TTC on Monday morning at 9 A.M. Please remember that all of our times are CENTRAL time. Cost : $30.00/ each day; $10.00 age 18 & under
Start times : 11:00 noon on Sat.; 10:00 A.M. on Sunday
Youth Trials at 4:30 PM on Sat.; 9AM on Sunday for $5.00 per day
Signup: 10 AM Sat.; 9AM Sun.
Trials for Christ service: 8:30 AM on Sunday -Meet at Pavilion
Anniversary street bike ride: Monday, 9 am – Meet at Green Shop

Early Sign In for Trials Training Days!! Friday March 30th from 3-6PM Central Time

Alright everybody….lots of people already showing up for some practice here at the TTC!

We will have an early sign in today March 30th starting at 3pm CENTRAL time and will go until about 6pm Central Time.

For all of those asking about a schedule, Saturday sign in will begin at approximately 8am with the rider meeting immediately following at 8:30am. Again we are on CENTRAL time!!!

We will have concessions for lunch and dinner as well so please support our local firefighter and eat at their booth!

Alright all you two-wheel riders out there….come and join the fun of Trials Training Days on March 31st and April 1st. There will be a chance to take a total of 8 classes in one weekend for an economical break through of $100 for TWO days! Just a heads up that our FINAL Winter Series Event for 2012 will be held on March 18th, 2012 at The Ridge near Birmingham, AL. Please come out and support the Final round of the Winter Series, at another great venue. Great fun and great trails so bring the whole family to come and ride! Start time at 11a.m. Central

Entry fee is $25.00.

Reminder: Winter Series Round 2

Hey everybody. Just wanted to send out a friendly reminder that Round 2 of the CTBC Winter Series is coming up!!

Round 2 will be held in Ringold, GA. this Sunday, January 15th, 2012 everything will start around 11am Eastern Time

Directions:

From Atlanta:

I75 North towards Chattanooga

Exit 350 GA 2A

Go 3.2 miles, then turn Right onto Dietz Road

Go .5 miles, then turn Right onto Pierce Road

You will see signs from there!

From Nashville:

Hwy 24 towards Chattanooga, Stay on 24 until I75 South towards Atlanta

Exit 353 – Cloud Springs Road – then right

Go 1 mile then turn left onto Dietz Road

Then go .5 miles and turn left onto Pierce rd. and follow.

On The Edge 2-Wheel Action Shows: Introducing Trials and Entertaining Audiences

We got this On The Edge 2-Wheel Action Shows press release from Tom McNeil this week. The TTC is one of the show sponsors and our very own Alex Bedley is one of the riders.

On The Edge performs trials demos for audiences throughout the southeast and has two goals in mind according to Tom McNeal, owner/rider. “Our goals are to provide top notch entertainment at events and also introduce people to trials and encourage them to try it out”, McNeal said. “If trials demos aren’t connecting the dots to events or venues where interested individuals can try trials out we are really missing the boat. That’s why we encourage people to come to the Trials Training Center and learn more about the sport and take a class”.

The team consists of Alex Bedley and Will Ibsen on the motorcycles and Dave Campbell and Nigel Kohring on the bicycles. With a new rig and setup the shows have taken on an even more professional look and 2012 is looking to be a busy year. Events typically include fairs, festivals, car shows, concerts, etc. McNeal added, “We would like to book more demos at enduro, motocross and other motorcycle related events. That is where you get people who have a passion for motorcycles and many who may be to the point of giving trials a try. My work with Dale Malasek, GasGas USA, is to get as many new people into trials as possible. Without Dale at GasGas, Trials Training Center, Whataburger, Go Build Alabama and Bell Company we would not be able to be near as successful and we hope that we can positively impact the trials community”.

Many recognizable names in the sport have helped On The Edge get to where they are through influence, advice and friendships including Charlie Roberts, Catherine Bedley, Geoff Aaron, Nelson Crouch and of course Tom’s dad and brother Glenn and Steve McNeal.
