The January 2012 issue of Dirt Rider magazine has a feature on the inaugural Kenda Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro held this past August here at the TTC. (See a pattern here?) Sean Finley at Digital Throttle put this PDF together to give you a glimpse. Here’s an excerpt:
Given the worldwide popularity of hard enduro, the Kenda Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro was proof that with the right organization, a good format, a difficult course and support from the top riders such an event can successfully be held on American soil. The rocky terrain surrounding the Trials Training Center was on par with the difficulty level of most hard enduros, and almost as soon as the event was over, the riders, teams and spectators were buzzing about a future edition of the race.

When you think about extreme enduros and nasty off-road racing, Europe usually comes to mind. Here in the United States we’ve seen events like Last Man Standing and some National Enduros get pretty brutal, but for years the U.S. extreme off-road race scene has been dead. The inaugural Kenda Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro (TKO) in Sequatchie, Tennessee, brought extreme off-road racing right here to the States. It was rocky, it was brutal and we hope it is here to stay.

The CBTC (Chattanooga/Birmingham Trials Clubs) announces the first ever Winter Moto-trials Series! With 5 events!
Event #1 – December 4th at TTC (Trials Training Center) -Starts at 11:00a.m. Central Time
Event #2 – January 15th at Ringold – Starts at 11:00a.m. Eastern Time (STRA Banquet the night before!)
Event #3 – 4 – 5 – To be announced
1 more will be held at the TTC
and the others either in Ringgold, GA or at The Ridge in Birmingham, AL.
CLASSES FOR COMPETITION:
-Novice -Intermediate
-Sportsman -Advanced Sportsman
-Advanced -Expert
There will also be a trail bike class at each event.

Every year, the TTC is host to two events (4 days of competition) for the Southeastern Trials Riders Association (STRA) championship series. We call the spring event the Spring Splash and the fall event The 58k. For these events, spectators are welcome and admission is free. Helmets are required for anyone on a motorcycle. AMA and STRA membership is required to compete (membership applications are available on site). Riders are welcome to come early or stay after for practice or training classes on our 670 acres of mountain terrain. The 2011 Fall 58K
For 2011, the Fall 58K (STRA Rounds 9 and 10) will be held on Oct. 29 and 30.
- Cost : $30.00/ each day; $10.00 age 18 & under
- Start times : 12:00 noon on Sat.; 10:00 A.M. on Sunday
- Youth Trials at 4:30 PM on Sat.; 9AM on Sunday for $5.00 per day
- Signup: 10 AM Sat.; 9AM Sun.
- Trials for Christ service: 8:30 AM on Sunday
- Concessions will be available

AMA/NATC MotoTrial rounds 5-7 were held here at the TTC last weekend (June 25, 26, 27). See the complete results on the NATC MotoTrial site.
With his win on Sunday, Pat Smage clinched the title, his 4th.

 Patrick Smage collected his fourth national title in five years and along with it claimed the prestigious Geoff Aaron Achievement Award with a 1-1-2 performance at the final three rounds of the 2011 AMA/NATC National MotoTrials Series held at the Trials Training Center, in Sequatchie, Tennessee, topping defending champ Cody Webb to do so.

  The inaugural Kenda Tire Tennessee Knockout Enduro will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28, 2011 here at the Trials Training Center.

SPRING SPLASH 2011

 The 2011 AMA/NATC MotoTrial National Championship series (poster PDF) kicks off this week with Rounds 1 and 2 in Blackwell, Texas on April 30 and May 1 at the Texana Ranch Off Road.
